Meet the Artists & Their Designs

Artist: Maia Glover
About the Artist: Maia Glover was born in Davenport, Iowa and has lived her whole life in the Quad Cities. Maia freelances for several local small businesses and bands and hopes to continue to grow her freelancing portfolio and range of clients.

Design: Alternating Currents is Out of This World
About the Design: This piece aims to encapsulate the vibe and energy that radiates from Alternating Currents. Film, performance, and art celebrate human connection and creation, possibly being observed by beings from other worlds wanting to join the festival!

Artist: Shayla Ray
About the Artist: I'm a Quad Cities artist and graphic designer who loves bringing bold ideas to life, whether it's through murals, live painting, illustration, or digital design. My work is rooted in creativity, community, and a little bit of wonder, with the goal of creating experiences that connect people and leave an impression.

Design: Mix Tape
About the Design: My design was inspired by the days of making mixtapes... carefully curating the perfect soundtrack for the moment. That's what Alternating Currents is all about: With music, art, comedy, film, and more happening all weekend, you get to create your own mix tape by choosing your own vibe. Press play and enjoy the ride.

Artist: Evan Salzer
About the Artist: Evan Salzer is a Quad Cities-based designer and maker, born and raised in Davenport. Inspired by the history, character, and people of the area, he's created work for a variety of local businesses and organizations. When he's not designing, he's usually spending time with his wife and daughter, traveling, or working on a project around the house.

Design: Letterpress Noise
About the Design: Letterpress Noise was inspired by the energy of Alternating Currents and the mix of experiences that make the festival feel unique. Evan wanted to create a shirt that felt like something you might find in a thrift shop years from now; playful, worn-in, and timeless, with the spirit of old concert posters and letterpress flyers. I wanted the shirt to look like the festival feels.
We can't wait to see these designs out in the community for years to come. Shop the 2026 Artist Merch Series online through August 21, or during the festival at the AC Print Shop!
