The Artists and Murals Behind AC 2026 Mural Fest
Four new walls across Downtown Davenport, Bettendorf, and Rock Island became canvases for Alternating Currents 2026 Mural Fest, showcasing the work of both local and national artists. The 2026 murals were created by returning artist Atlanta Dawn, local artist Brando Punk, and national artists Andrey Key Detail and Brian Wentworth (WENTPAINT). "A glimpse into Davenport's Motor Row, when 3rd Street was bustling with automobiles, local businesses, and a city on the move. The vintage Firestone and Mobil Oil advertisements pay homage to businesses that once called 301 E. 3rd Street home. Layered like weathered newspaper clippings, the mural peels back the past and brings a little piece of Motor Row back to life."

"Sibogu is an original character I’ve been drawing for years. Her flowing hair and bold graphic shapes were designed to create movement across the nearly 94-foot wall, pulling the viewer through the entire piece. The style combines influences from illustration, graffiti, comics, and graphic design."

The 2026 Mural Fest is presented through a collaboration between Downtown Davenport Partnership, Downtown Bettendorf Organization, Rock Island Downtown Alliance, and Quad City Arts, with additional support from Altorfer CAT Rentals, Bent River Brewing - Rock Island, Hupp Toyota, and Stecker Graphics.
Alternating Currents 2026 is presented by RDA and Rhythm City Casino, with major support from Scott County Regional Authority (SCRA), the Jeff & Reggie Goldstein Family Foundation, and Luxtown.
